In this mural, I aimed to explore the idea of resistance and assert the need to react to any system or force that oppresses us, and leads us to become the next oppressor. Each person appears with their mouth covered by someone else, and in the next moment, uses their own hand to cover the mouth of the person next to them. The sequence of several people in this condition, and with this type of action, generates a vicious cycle that turns into a socially accepted behavior, then becomes normal, expected, and finally demanded. Any one of us can either perpetuate this rule or be the disruptive element that breaks the chain! Let us be the person who thinks autonomously, critically, and freely, with the courage to speak up and ensure the right to freedom of expression for ourselves and others!
