The ‘Revelar’ series consists of 10 canvases of imaginary portraits, all painted with spray paint. The idea behind the ‘Revelar’ series was to make visible the image of real people or imaginary characters, of whom their faces are not known.

“In this case, art (painting) is a means of making the unknown visible to the eye… Giving shape and color to faces of those we know, but have never seen before. However, this series of portraits does not aim to faithfully or detailedly represent the chosen figures. Instead, it is important for the representations, which are somewhat abstract, to preserve the mystery surrounding the anonymity demands of each selected character, such as “Banksy” or “Raul Vilar”.

The result obtained in each of these paintings is not essential. Creating a painting method that gives me back some of the initial feeling I got when painting freely on the street is above all much more important. This means a painting method that brings together all my knowledge of spray painting, but above all preserves all the spontaneity and intuition of painting in a free way (graffiti) without being able to predict the final result. In this way, each stroke ends up being a discovery and influences both the path to be taken and the destination to be reached.”
